Argan oil comes from the Argania spinosa tree, which only grows in southwestern Morocco (a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve). Berber women have been extracting it by hand for centuries: they crack the nut, grind the seeds, and cold-press it. That's why it's called "liquid gold": one liter requires up to 30 kg of fruit and a lot of manual labor.
Its strength lies in its composition: more than 80% unsaturated fatty acids, high vitamin E, squalene and antioxidants such as sterols and polyphenols.
On the skin
It deeply nourishes without leaving a greasy residue, improves elasticity, and slows premature aging. It soothes irritations, protects against sun and pollution, and helps soften scars and stretch marks over time. It's ideal for dry or mature skin, but we also use it on combination skin because it doesn't clog pores.
In the hair
It penetrates the hair fiber, repairs damage, controls frizz, and provides natural shine without weighing hair down. Moroccan women have used it for generations to protect against desert winds and sun. Our tip: a few drops before going to the beach or pool will lessen the damage caused by chlorine/salt.
Fun fact: Moroccan goats climb argan trees to eat the fruit (yes, those famous photos). They used to collect the nuts left by the goats, but now everything is picked straight from the tree for hygiene reasons.
