The coconut we use is fractionated: extracted by cold pressing from the fresh pulp of Cocos nucifera, native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific. It's called "fractionated" because some of the long fatty acids are removed, so it remains liquid at all times (even in winter), but it retains all its beneficial properties without additives.
Its formula is notable for its medium-chain fatty acids (such as lauric acid), which are quickly absorbed and provide immediate energy to the skin and hair. It also contains vitamin E and natural antioxidants that protect and soothe.
On the skin
Deep hydration without leaving a heavy residue, ideal for dry or normal skin. Soothes irritations, mild eczema, and sunburn, and acts as a protective barrier. It's also fantastic as a makeup remover: it dissolves waterproof makeup and cleanses without drying.
In the hair
Nourishes dry ends, repairs damage, and adds shine without weighing hair down. It penetrates quickly, strengthens the hair fiber, and reduces breakage. Our tip: use it as an overnight mask for very damaged hair, or a small amount daily to control frizz in humid climates.
Fun fact: In the Pacific islands, it has always been used as a natural sunscreen and to heal wounds. Lauric acid has real antibacterial properties, which is why it soothes irritated skin so well.
In our selection of three oils, coconut is the intense, multi-purpose moisturizer. With jojoba and argan, we've got you covered without any extra bottles. Simple and effective.
