Who is Syriana?

Syriana was born from an encounter. A group of Italian volunteers and some Syrian refugees met in Gaziantep, southern Turkey, and decided to do something concrete for Syrian children living in extreme poverty and without access to education. Together they founded Kids Rainbow, renamed BeChild in 2025, a safe and inclusive space to offer learning opportunities to Syrian refugee children. Today it hosts around 250 children, with hundreds more on the waiting list.

To finance the center, they needed sustainable income. And in Gaziantep, where Syrian soap makers had emigrated after the war, they had something extraordinary at hand: the tradition of Aleppo soap, the oldest soap in the world, now produced in a region that maintains the ideal climatic conditions for its elaboration.

This is how Syriana was born: products from the Syrian soap-making tradition that finance the education of children whom the war left without it. 100% of the profits go to BeChild. It’s not a percentage, it’s not a symbolic donation. It's everything.

What they do and how they do it

Their soaps are completely natural, handcrafted according to secular tradition, with olive oil, laurel oil, and other selected ingredients. No plastic in the packaging, no unnecessary ingredients. The format is the usual: solid bar, cardboard, nothing more.

The range goes beyond classic Aleppo soap: artisanal soaps with aromas that evoke the Orient, body exfoliants, creams. Products that work well and also have a story behind them that deserves to be told.

We tried them. And we liked them. The black musk soap has a unique personality that is not easy to find. That's why they are in CUIDA-T.

Curiosities and facts

In 2022 there were two founders with an idea and little else. In 2025 they have more than 500 points of sale throughout Italy and thousands of customers. A brand that grew due to the product and the story, not advertising.

Aleppo soap has uses that go far beyond bathing. Moth repellent in wardrobes, washing machine detergent, shaving, shampoo, hair stripper, purifying mask if left on. An everyday multi-purpose product that modern cosmetics are rediscovering as if it were new. In the Aleppo soapproduct sheet, we tell you more about it.

Gaziantep, the new Aleppo. With the war in Syria, the master soap makers who had produced Aleppo soap for centuries emigrated to southern Turkey. Gaziantep has the same climate, the same conditions. The tradition continued, with the same hands and the same recipe, in another place.

“With 100% of profits going to BeChild, every purchase allows 250 children to live in a safe place, learn to read and write, play, and truly be children.” Syriana Association.
